the story

the challenge

The Siemens PLM Software Store is a customer facing eCommerce site for the sale of Siemens product lifecycle software. Siemens had been moving more towards customer interface standards that adhere more closely to Newton's Design and were looking for outside validation on how well they were doing in that area. The challenge was to give a heuristic evaluation of two specific sections of the site as an overview, but not complete heuristic.

gathering

The process began with a stakeholder meeting where we discussed what the customer hoped to gleam from the process and any other concerns or questions.

research

The heuristic evaluation was conducted over a weeks time and information gathered and documented.

results

The result was in insightful heuristic evaluation document and presentation. The business was very pleased and it gave them an excellent benchmark of where they were in their interface standardization efforts. More meetings and discussions about UX and how we could help their efforts followed.
